Dear Sir,

We read the publication on “Dear editor, please reject my letter” with great interest.[1] Mondal and Mondal noted that “We request the editors of the journals to be kind enough to provide an update on 'Letter to Editor' as they do it for other articles in the journals or provide an option of 'Request withdrawal of article' in the manuscript management system.[1]” The interesting issue is how long the proper waiting for the processing of submitted article is. In fact, the authors of any kind of article have their rights to withdraw the manuscript any phase if there is still no signed agreement with the journal for “no withdrawal after submission.” However, the withdrawal is not the way for managing the already detected problem of the submitted article such as detected duplicated submission to more than one journal or detected plagiarism. The author has to be patient to wait for the decision from the journal and the journal should declare the longest waiting period for reviewing process.
